At the end of the Item, insert:

"Z. Out of this appropriation, $2,500,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to the City of Charlottesville to support the repurposing of two existing facilities to create low-barrier and high-barrier emergency shelters to address an urgent need. The funding in this paragraph shall be contingent upon the approval of the projects by the Charlottesville City Council. Any funding remaining at the end of fiscal year 2026 shall be carried forward and reappropriated for the same purpose."

Explanation

(This amendment provides $2.5 million GF the second year to the City of Charlottesville to support the city's efforts to address urgent shelter needs for its homeless population, in conjunction with multiple community partners.)
