Explanation

(This amendment provides $123,000 nongeneral fund in fiscal year 2027 to reflect the administrative cost to implement the provisions of House Bill 1055 of the 2026 General Assembly Session which includes full-time sworn unit investigators appointed by the Attorney General in the Virginia Law Officers' Retirement System. There is a companion amendment under item 469 to reflect the cost of the enhanced benefits authorized in House Bill 1055. The funding included in this amendment is a placeholder until a detailed estimate of House Bill 1055 is finalized.)
