Explanation

(This amendment provides $150,000 nongeneral fund in fiscal year 2027 to reflect the administrative cost to implement the provisions of House Bill 1267 of the 2026 General Assembly Session which includes 4 additional employee groups within state agencies in the Virginia Law Officers' Retirement System. The 4 groups added are: sworn member of the enforcement division of the Department of Motor Vehicles, probation at the Department of Corrections, full-time sworn law-enforcement officers employed by the Department of Corrections, and full-time sworn law-enforcement officer employed by the Department of Juvenile Justice. There is a companion amendment under item 469 to reflect the cost of the enhanced benefits authorized in House Bill 1267. The funding included in this amendment is a placeholder until a detailed estimate of House Bill 1267 is finalized.)
