Explanation

(This amendment provides $425,000 the first year from the general fund to be provided as a one-time grant to Ayuda in order to provide legal and social services to low-income immigrant victims of crime. These services would include in-depth legal consultations and long-term legal representation to low-income immigrant victims of crime including victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, abandonment and neglect. Social services would include case management, emergency client assistance, and mental health services.)
