"GGGG.  Out of this appropriation, $7,000,000 the first year and $7,000,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided to cover the costs of a reproductive health care program providing reimbursement for medically necessary reproductive health care services, drugs, devices, products, and procedures for individuals in the Medicaid and the state's children's health insurance programs, as well as other low-income individuals who do not otherwise have access to these services due to lack of health insurance coverage. The Department of Medical Assistance Services shall make any necessary changes to the State Plan for Medical Assistance to effect such changes."

Explanation

(This amendment adds $7.0 million from the general fund each year for the fiscal impact of House Bill 1445 which requires the Board of Medical Assistance Services to include in the state plan for medical assistance services a provision for the payment of the costs of a reproductive health care program providing reimbursement for medically necessary reproductive health care services, drugs, devices, products, and procedures for individuals in the Medicaid and the state's children's health insurance programs, as well as other individuals set forth in the legislation. Language is also added to provide such coverage through the Department of Medical Assistance Services.)
