Explanation

(This amendment adds funding to cover the fiscal impact of House Bill 395 which increases the minimum wage from its current federally mandated level of $7.25 per hour to $9 per hour effective July 1, 2020; to $11 per hour effective July 1, 2021; to $13 per hour effective July 1, 2022; and to $15 per hour effective July 1, 2023, unless a higher minimum wage is required by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The funding would cover the impact on the Department of Medical Assistance Services for mandated community-based personal care services provided to individuals through a number of Medicaid waiver programs and the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program.)
