The Department of Medical Assistance Services shall have the authority to provide five days of sick leave each year for consumer-directed home- and community-based Medicaid providers who work an average of 20 or more hours per week, effective July 1, 2019. The department shall have the authority to implement this change prior to the completion of the regulatory process."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $1.5 million from the general fund and $1.5 million from federal matching Medicaid funds each year to provide five paid days of sick leave per year to providers of consumer-directed Medicaid home and community-based waiver services who work an average of 20 or more hours per week.)
