Explanation

(This amendment provides $405,000 each year from the general fund to offset the loss of non-general fund revenue from inmate copayments for certain medical care, pursuant to House Bill 281 which would ban the assessment of such copayments. The amounts reflect the estimated loss of revenue, which is currently used to support the operation of telemedicine activities in the Department of Corrections.)
