(This amendment provides an appropriation to the Corrections Special Reserve Fund to reflect the estimated impact on utilization of beds in the Commonwealth’s Adult Correctional Centers resulting in changes in criminal sentencing pursuant to House Bill 478, which would establish as a felony the conviction for violating a protective order, assault and battery of a family or household member, or stalking if the offender has previously been convicted of one of these offenses in the past 20 years against the same victim as the current offense.)
