"I. Out of this appropriation, $495,000 the first year from the general fund is provided for the Department to enter petitioners' name, description, and fingerprints in the Central Criminal Records Exchange, consistent with the provisions of House Bill 377 of the 2016 General Assembly."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $495,000 the first year for costs to the State Police of implementing the requirements of House Bill 377, which provides a mechanism for reporting to the Department of State Police when a circuit court restores a felon's right to possess, transport, and carry a firearm, ammunition for a firearm, or a stun weapon.)
