Explanation

(This amendment provides an appropriation to the Corrections Special Reserve Fund to reflect the estimated impact on utilization of beds in the Commonwealth’s Adult Correctional Centers resulting in changes in criminal sentencing pursuant to House Bill 672, which adds the crimes of malicious wounding and aggravated malicious wounding to offenses for which registration is required on the Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry if the perpetrator of the crime was an adult, the victim was under the age of 13, and the crime was committed on or after July 1, 2016.)
