Explanation

(This amendment provides an appropriation to the Corrections Special Reserve Fund to reflect the estimated impact on utilization of beds in the Commonwealth’s Adult Correctional Centers resulting in changes in criminal sentencing pursuant to House Bill 609, which provides that a person who is the subject of a protective order who commits an assault and battery resulting in bodily injury on the person protected by the order is guilty of a Class 6 felony.)
