Explanation

(This amendment provides $234,883 the first year and $317,014 the second year from the general fund to the Academic Year's Governor's School (AYGS) as a result of removing the funding cap of 1,725 students. Currently, the Thomas Jefferson Governor's School, located in the Fairfax County school division, is the only one out of the 19 AYGS schools that exceed the cap. )
