A. Out of this appropriation, $1,601,121 the first year and $1,601,121 the second year from the general fund and $14,350,000 the first year and $14,350,000 the second year from nongeneral funds are designated to build research capacity in the areas of bioengineering and biosciences.
B. Out of this appropriation, $881,720 the first year and $881,720 the second year from the general fund is designated for the support of cancer research.
C. Out of this appropriation, $1,500,000 the first year and $1,500,000 the second year from the general fund is designated for support of the Focused Ultrasound Surgery Foundation to support core programs and research activities.
D. The Higher Education Operating fund source listed in this Item is considered to be a sum sufficient appropriation, which is an estimate of funding required by the university to cover sponsored program operations.
