"N.  Out of this appropriation, $600,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided to up to six local Area Agencies on Aging who are selected to to implement the "No Wrong Door" system."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funding in the second year for local Area Agencies on Aging who are selected as pilot projects to implement the "No Wrong Door" system in the Commonwealth. While the introduced budget provided funding for the department to implement the system, no funding was provided to assist local agencies involved in piloting the program in changing their business practices to implement the system. The "No Wrong Door" system is a web-based portal which will be designed to improve statewide access to long-term care services for the elderly. It is anticipated that local AAAs will serve as a one-stop shop to provide information and referral, as well as screen and assist individuals with eligibility for long-term care services.)
