Explanation
(This amendment provides $7.5 million NGF of federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to provide up to 12 months of rental assistance to low-income Virginians through the state-funded Homeless Intervention Program. An estimated 2,000 Virginia families could be assisted. The subsidy would be the difference between the Fair Market Rent of a community and a family's housing budget (30 percent of income.))
