Explanation
(This amendment provides additional funds recommended by the Joint Subcommittee on Higher Education Funding Policies at its November 13, 2001, meeting. The Subcommittee recommended a total funding range of $187 to $206 million to fully fund higher education institutions. Although this recommendation is from the state general fund, the source of funds to address this recommendation would require a mix of general and nongeneral fund. The nongeneral funds would be generated based on the tuition and fee policies of each higher education institution.)
