"HH.  The Department of Medial Assistance Services shall develop a program to include in the State Plan for Medical Assistance a provision to enable persons who meet the disability criteria (except for earnings) for eligibility for benefits under the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplement Security Income (SSI) programs and whose unearned incomes are at or below 80 percent of the federal poverty level, and who therefore meet the income criteria for eligibility for medical assistance services if their incomes exceed 80 percent of the federal poverty level and are from earnings.  Such persons shall pay a premium based on their income as determined by the Department and have such assets as determined by the Department."

(This amendment adds language to allow disabled individuals who are eligible for Medicaid and have income at 80 percent of the federal poverty level to work and not lose their Medicaid benefits.)
