"HH. As a condition of this appropriation, the Department of Medical Assistance Services shall amend Medicaid policies to allow a child's application to be filed by a parent, legal guardian, or another adult caretaker relative with whom the child resides."

(This amendment allows a caretaker relative to file an application for the Medicaid program on behalf of a child, regardless of having legal custody, guardianship, or written parental authorization. Currently, this arrangement is allowed when filing for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) benefits.)
