Page 247, after line 36, insert:
"The Department of Health Professions shall allocate one dollar from each license fee collected from each category of professional authorized to participate in the Physician Loan Repayment Program to support the program.  These funds shall be transferred to the general fund for appropriation to the Physician Loan Repayment Program in Item 306 in this act."

Explanation
(This amendment transfers license fees from health professionals who could participate in the Physician Loan Repayment Program to the Department of Health to increase the funding available for the program. A companion amendment in Item 306 appropriates these funds to expand the program to provide loan repayment for mental health professionals including psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, doctoral clinical psychologists, clinical social workers, and psychiatric nurse specialists. This is a recommendation of the Virginia Commission on Youth.)
