Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to Culpeper Garden III for a five-year project to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness and benefits to the Commonwealth of providing state subsidies to HUD-subsidies assisted living facilities to cover part of the cost of care services for very low-income, frail elderly who require assistance with at least three activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and taking medication. The project takes advantage of the large subsidies provided by HUD to residents of its Section 202 facilities for the elderly so that a larger portion of their limited incomes can be used to pay for part of the cost of their care services.)
