"AA.  Contingent upon passage of Senate Bill 124 or House Bill 200 by the 2002 General Assembly, and as such bill becomes law, the State Comptroller shall transfer to the general fund, on or before June 30, 2003, and on or before June 30, 2004, from the University of Virginia Medical Center the actual amount of interest income earned by the investment of the University of Virginia Medical Center's nongeneral operating cash balances pursuant to § 23-77.4.C., Code of Virginia, or $2,500,000, whichever is less."

Explanation
(This amendment allows the University of Virginia Medical Center to retain the interest earned on balances in the general account, consistent with legislation passed in the 2002 General Assembly Session, but requires a transfer to the general fund in a like amount for fiscal years 2003 and 2004.)
