Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society for the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts. The project will cost $10-11 million. The City of Suffolk has already given $1.6 million and has promised another $1 million in 2002. It is estimated that historic tax credits will come in at approximately $3.5 million after five years.)
