Page 263, after line 6, insert:
"K.  The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, in conjunction with the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and private providers, shall examine the feasibility and cost of developing a web-based system for providing daily updated information on licensed and available acute psychiatric inpatient beds for children and adolescents.  The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services shall report its finding and recommendations to the Committee Studying Treatment Options for Offenders with Mental Illness or Substance Abuse Disorders by September 30, 2002.  All agencies of the Commonwealth shall provide assistance to the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services upon request.  The Department shall complete its work by November 30, 2002, and shall submit its written findings and recommendations to the Governor and the 2003 Session of the General Asembly."
