"B.  The Auditor of Public Accounts shall assist internal auditors of state agencies and institutions in receiving continued professional education as required by professional standards.  The Auditor of Public Accounts shall coordinate his efforts with state institutions of higher education and offer training programs to the internal auditors as well as coordinate any special training programs for the internal auditors.  The Auditor of Public Accounts shall recover the costs for providing these training programs."

Explanation
(This amendment directs the Auditor of Public Accounts to assist state agencies and institutions with the continued professional training of their internal auditors and coordinate these types of training programs. This activity previously was undertaken by the Department of the State Internal Auditor.)
