Explanation
(This amendment eliminates funding for the Dropout Prevention Program. This is one of a series of amendments that redirects funding for discretionary grant programs to the Standards of Quality to address funding deficiencies cited in the Tier 1 recommendations of the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission report, Review of Elementary and Secondary School Funding.)
