(This amendment would phase out the current cap of 1,275 students per Governor's School for purposes of computing the state share of payments to these schools. The cap would be increased to 1,375 in the current school year. A companion amendment to House Bill 30, as introduced, would increase the cap to 1,500 students the first year and 1,635 students the second year. The only school which would be immediately affected is the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax, with an enrollment of 1,635 students.)
