Explanation
(This amendment provides funds to expand the ombudsman program statewide. Ombudsmen respond to complaints and provide assistance to elderly persons receiving long-term care. Funding would provide $75,000 for services provided at the local level by area agencies on aging and $15,000 for the Office of the State Ombudsman for statewide training and technical assistance needed due to program expansion.)
