A. Out of the appropriation in this Item, $4,600,000 the first year and $1,600,000 the second year from the general fund shall be deposited to the Virginia Agriculture Food Assistance Fund for the award of grants to assist Virginia farmers and food producers with donating, selling, or otherwise providing agriculture products to Virginia's charitable food assistance organizations in accordance with § 3.2-4781, Code of Virginia.
B. Out of the amounts in this item, $1,000,000 the first year from the general fund to implement Virginia Fresh Match to grow the network of farmers markets and local food retailers that double the value of SNAP food assistance spent on fruits and vegetables for food insecure families.
