A. The appropriation in this item shall provide financial support for the continued operations of the schools and divisions existing as the Eastern Virginia Medical School prior to the effective date of Chapter 756 and Chapter 778 of the 2023 Acts of Assembly.
B. The Department of Planning and Budget may transfer the appropriation from this item to Agency 221 Old Dominion University as necessary to facilitate the operations of Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University.
C. Out of this appropriation, $1,225,700 the first year and $1,225,700 the second year from the general fund is designated to support financial aid for in-state medical and health professions students.
