A. Out of this appropriation, $1,162,500 from the general fund and $6,600,000 from nongeneral funds the first year and $1,162,500 from the general fund and $6,600,000 from nongeneral funds the second year is designated to build research capacity in the areas of biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine.
B. Out of this appropriation, $2,000,000 the first year and $6,000,000 the second year from the general fund is designated for the support of cancer research.
C. The Higher Education Operating fund source listed in this Item is considered to be a sum sufficient appropriation, which is an estimate of funding required by the university to cover sponsored program operations.
