§ 3-6.00 ADJUSTMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS TO FEES
§ 3-6.01 RECORDATION TAX FEE
A. There is hereby assessed a ten dollar fee on (i) every deed for which the state recordation tax is collected pursuant to §§ 58.1-801 A and 58.1-803, Code of Virginia; and (ii) every certificate of satisfaction admitted under § 55-66.6, Code of Virginia. Contingent upon the passage into law of the provisions contained in Enactment Nos. 2, 3 and 5 of Part 5 of introduced House Bill 30/Senate Bill 30 of the 2004 Session, revenue generated from such fee shall be deposited to the Virginia Natural and Historic Resources Fund created herein.
B. There is hereby created in the state treasury a special permanent, nonreverting fund to be known as the Virginia Natural and Historic Resources Fund, hereafter referred to as "the Fund." The Fund shall be established on the books of the Comptroller. The Fund shall consist of moneys appropriated to it by the General Assembly and such other sums as may be made available to it from any other source, public or private, all of which shall be credited to the Fund. Any moneys remaining in the Fund at the end of each fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund but shall remain in the Fund.
