From the appropriation in this item, $19,500 the second year from the general fund is provided for the estimated increase in the operating costs of juvenile correctional facilities resulting from the enactment in the 1999 Session of the General Assembly of legislation increasing the penalty for assaulting a juvenile probation and parole officer. The funds shall be paid into the Corrections Special Reserve Fund, established in accordance with § 30-19.1:4 of the Code of Virginia.
