Explanation

(This amendment provides from the nongeneral fund appropriation in the second year in support of House Bill 1452, which authorizes the designation of up to 30 Medicaid Fraud Investigators as having full police powers. The bill also defines sworn unit investigators as law-enforcement officers eligible for Virginia Law Officers' Retirement System (VaLORS) benefits, among other changes. This is a placeholder amendment until a final fiscal impact statement is produced.)
