A. In addition to the amounts previously authorized in Item C-48.10, Chapter 854, 2019 Acts of Assembly, the Virginia Public Building Authority, pursuant to § 2.2-2260 et seq., Code of Virginia, is authorized to issue bonds in a principal amount not to exceed $58,500,000, plus amounts needed to fund issuance costs, reserve funds, original issue discount, interest prior to and during the acquisition or construction and for one year after completion thereof, and other financing expenses, to finance the costs of the project described in paragraph C. of this Item.
B. Debt service on bonds issued under the authorization in this Item shall be provided from appropriations to the Treasury Board.
C. The scope of the project, “Replace Central State Hospital," for the Department of General Services, on behalf of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, authorized for construction in Item C-48.10, Chapter 854, 2019 Acts of Assembly, is expanded to include an additional 48 beds and associated support space, bringing total facility capacity to 300 beds.
