Explanation

(This amendments provides $1.0 million from the general fund in fiscal year 2019 for the vocational rehabilitation services program to help reduce the waiting list for services. Language is added to adjust the state matching funds and federal grant amounts based in this increased funding. The added general fund may be matched with federal vocational rehabilitation funds if there are balances available to be reallocated to states. These funds will help support expanded services required under the re-authorization of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to provide services for students with disabilities in grades 9 through 12. As of November 1, 2017, all persons determined eligible for services by the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services are being placed on a waiting list due to limited resources.)
