Explanation

(This amendment provides $80,000 each year from the general fund and two positions for the Virginia Parole Board pursuant to House Bill 1243, which would require the Board to base its parole decisions for any person eligible and seeking parole and for whom the Virginia Criminal Sentencing Commission has determined that the individual's time served has exceeded the midpoint of sentencing guidelines.)
