(This amendment provides an appropriation to the Corrections Special Reserve Fund to reflect the estimated impact on utilization of beds in the Commonwealth’s Adult Correctional Centers resulting in changes in criminal sentencing pursuant to House Bill 127, which would revise the crime of construction fraud so that a person is guilty if they fraudulently fail to perform a promise for construction after have received compensation. Current law requires that fraudulent intent be established before a person is found guilty of construction fraud.)
