Explanation

(This amendment provides $2.6 million from the general fund each year to establish CIT training and assessments centers in six rural communities. This funding builds on prior initiatives to establish 32 assessment centers in areas that implemented CIT and underwent planning for the assessment centers. This is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee to Study Mental Health Services in the Commonwealth in the 21st Century.)
