A. Out of this appropriation, $406,406 the first year and  $406,406   $656,406  the second year from the general fund is designated to build research capacity in medical modeling and simulation.
B. Out of this appropriation, $375,700 the first year and $375,700 the second year from the general fund is designated to support financial aid for in-state medical and health professions students.
C. Out of this appropriation, $3,562,682 the first year and $3,562,682 the second year from the general fund is provided to support medical and health professions programs.
D.  Eastern Virginia Medical School shall transfer funds to the Department of Medical Assistance Services to fully fund the state share for Medicaid supplemental payments to physicians affiliated with Eastern Virginia Medical School.  The funds to be transferred must comply with 42 CFR 433.51."


Explanation
(This amendment adds language to require Eastern Virginia Medical School to transfer funds to provide the state share of Medicaid funding for supplemental Medicaid payments to its physicians. A companion amendment in Item 307 provides authority for the Department of Medical Assistance Services to receive the funds and use them to match federal Medicaid payments for this purpose. This amendment will replace language in Item 245, Chapter 806, Acts of Assembly of 2013, during enrolling of House Bill 29.)
