Explanation
(This amendment cuts $50.4 million from the general fund in the second year for the state's share of funding the Cost of Competing Adjustment (COCA). Eligible localities will now be funded at 25 percent for the Standards of Quality funding model's allocation of instructional and support positions. The fiscal year 2010 allocated amount which is reflected in Chapter 879, $90.6 million, was reduced by $15.5 million due to the proposed amendment for establishing a support position funding cap included in House Bill 1600.)
