Explanation
(This amendment provides additional funding flexibility to localities by eliminating any required local funding match for the staffing requirements that are included in the second year for the following: 1) Lottery Proceeds Fund Service area: Foster Care, At-Risk Add-on, Pre-K, Early Reading Intervention, Mentor Teacher, K-3 Classroom Reduction, School Breakfast, SOL Algebra Readiness, Alternative Education, ISAEP, Special Education-Regional Tuition, Vocational Education-Categorical, No Child Left Behind, and Project Graduation; 2) textbooks, or 3) Virginia Public School Authority technology grants. The state funds must still be used by the locality for the stated program purposes.)
