Explanation
(This amendment adds $1.6 million each year from the federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) block grant to implement recommendations in a recent report by the Department of Social Services to expand community action programs statewide to 42 unserved jurisdictions without jeopardizing funding for existing community action programs. The Department 's report describes a 2-year plan for expanding community action programs and services.)
