Explanation
(This amendment removes $724,580 and 14 positions the first year from the general fund for the Division of Capitol Police. These funds and positions were added by the 2006 General Assembly, but the required staffing and salary enhancement plans are not expected to be approved by the Joint Rules Committee and implemented until the second year of the biennium. Funding and 14 positions for these plans are included in the budget for the second year, subject to approval by the Joint Rules Committee. This amendment also directs the Chief of the Capitol Police to review current security arrangements.)
