"B.  The Commissioner of Aging shall establish and conduct an education and awareness campaign regarding the benefits of long-term care insurance.  The campaign may incorporate national efforts to educate and inform citizens of the importance of long-term care planning.  The Commissioner may seek the assistance of the private sector in the development and execution of this campaign."

Explanation
(This amendment provides $50,000 from the general fund in the second year for the creation and execution of a long-term care awareness campaign to be administered by the Commonwealth, in conjunction with any federally sponsored long-term care awareness campaign that may be occurring. Virginia launched a long-term care awareness campaign in fiscal year 2005 in conjunction with a federally-sponsored campaign as a time-limited project with one-time only funding.)
