Explanation
(This amendment provides $65,000 the first year and $45,000 the second year from the general fund to the Department of Veterans Services to refurbish four field offices each year. Currently, many of the department's offices lack telephone messaging capabilities, use computers that are many years old, and lack any form of high-speed internet access. The offices that would be affected by this amendment the first year include: Bristol, Front Royal, Tidewater, and Wytheville. In the second year, the following offices would be refurbished: Big Stone Gap, Hampton, Lynchburg, and South Hill.)
