Explanation
(This amendment increases the nongeneral fund appropriation for the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries by an amount equal to the transfer of general fund revenue to the Game Protection Fund. The source of the revenue is the portion of the state general sales and use tax allocated by state statute to the Game Protection Fund.)

The Department shall maintain operation of, and visitor access to, state-owned fish hatcheries, including the Montebello fish hatchery. To offset the cost of supervising visitors at the fish hatcheries, the Department may charge a fee of up to $1.00 per visitor.
