"G.  Out of this appropriation, $22,386 the first year and $280,110 the second year from the general fund and $819,826 the first year and $840,288 the second year from nongeneral funds shall be used to purchase the Tdap (tetanus/diptheria/pertussis) vaccine for children without insurance.  The Department shall use available balances to fully fund the program in the first year."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to provide a booster dose of the tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Tdap) vaccine to children prior to entering the sixth grade, if more than five years have elapsed since the last dose. Pertussis is the only vaccine-preventable disease with increasing numbers of reported cases. Approximately 30 percent of unvaccinated children are expected to receive their vaccines at local health departments.)
