Explanation
(This amendment provides $66,000 the first year from the general fund for the costs of adverstising a Constitutional amendment about property tax exemptions at the 2006 general election. These costs include newspaper advertisements and the production of brochures and posters about the amendment for use in local registrars' offices and in polling places. These advertising costs are required by § 30-19.9, Code of Virginia. The amount shown reflects the adjusted sum required for each subsequent Constitutional amendment's advertising costs.)
