Explanation
(This amendment increases funding for the Virginia Wine Board by $1.2 million from the general fund each year. The proposed appropriation to the Virginia Wine Board for the Wine Promotion Fund is calculated based on an estimate of the share of total wine liter tax collections attributable to the sale of Virginia wine. A companion amendment to Part 3 transfers these funds from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Enterprise Fund profits. House Bill 1230 creates the Virginia Wine Board and the Virginia Wine Promotion Fund referred to in this amendment.)
